Darpan Bohara- Reading Response 1

In Reading Response by Darpan Bohara

After reading the paper I have understood that design thinking is a process to provide empathetic, human-centric solutions after identification of a need. A set of steps can be followed to derive, prototype and test these solutions through iteration for improvement. However after being familiar with the process, we will begin to appreciate the fluidity of design thinking as it makes us analytical thinkers where we ask the right design questions with respect to the need at hand. As discussed in the paper, the process of designing prosthetic, realistic breasts for Zimbabwean women showed us that design thinking, by putting emphasis on prototyping, evokes critical evaluations of design of the solutions from us thinkers, hence improving the final solution.
